PHOTOREJUVENATION  THERAPIES

WHAT IS LIGHT THERAPY?

Light therapy uses specific color wavelengths to penetrate different levels of the skin, providing a wide range of benefits. Skin has a wonderful ability to absorb light and utilize this energy to stimulate a healing response. The light energizes cells to produce collagen, also eliminate toxins and treat mild to moderate acne by killing the bacteria responsible for breakouts. In turn, skin becomes younger-looking, clearer, and more radiant. Sometimes called LED light therapy, LED stands for light-emitting-diodes. First developed by NASA, LED stands for light-emitting-diodes. Red light LED stimulates the fibroblasts that produce collagen, which gives young skin its plump look. Professional LED machines can also minimize fine lines and wrinkles, treat sun-damage and stretch marks, and reduce redness after more aggressive medical treatments. This treatment can be used alone or in conjunction with other procedures such as laser treatments, peels and soft tissue augmentation. Treatments are painless and there is no downtime, allowing patients return to normal activity immediately.
